In this post we will compare the tariff plans offered by the Italian mobile provider.
We are looking for the best tariffs for to call Ukraine and Russia from Italy using a mobile phone.
All prices are in Euro.
Vodafone
Tariff plans: “One Nation“.
With this plan you can call 46 countries (Ukraine and Russia included) at the same rate offered for to call inside the country.
- Calls:
15 cents minute (national and international calls)
- SMS:
Nationals: 15 cents and 30 cents for to call abroad.
Connection charge:
16 cent.
Limits:
Max call time 1000 min/month. After you will have to pay the standard international rate.
Tariff plan – options: “You&Me International”
With this option you can call one international number at your choice at a reduced rate.
- International calls: 12 cents/min (just for one number)
- SMS: 30 cents.
Costs:
8 euro, price which include the first 4 weeks.
For to renew it, you have to pay 2 euro every week.
Limits:
Max 300 minutes/week. After which you will pay the rate of your tariff plan.
TIM
Tariff plan: “TIM Welcome Home”
This plan allow you to call different countries (Ukraine and Russia included) at a reduced rate without any connection charge.
- Calls to Ukraine and Russia:
15 cent/min
- National calls:
TIM subscribers: 9 cents/min; others: 19 cents/min..
- SMS:
National: 15 cents. It doesn’t say about abroad, probably 30 cents.
Connecting charge:
No connection charge for to call abroad.
9 cents for the national calls.
Limits:
Max 550 min/month. After you need to pay the international standard rate.
Tariff are valid until 05/07/09.
3, TRE
Tariff plans: No specific plans with reduced rates for to call abroad.
- SMS:
30 (international SMS).
Tariff plan – options: “No Distance”
With it you can call at very good tariff Ukraine, Russia and other countries.
- Calls to Ukraine and to Russia:
9 cent/min.
Connecting charge:
16 cents.
Costs:
5 euro/month, for 30 days.
WIND
Tariff plans: No specific plans with reduced tariff for to call abroad.
- SMS:
12 cents with “Super senza scatto”
15 cent with “Wind 12”
Attention!
These rates are the same for national SMS and international SMS!
Tariff plans – options: “Call your country”
This option allow you to call, at a reduced rate, Ukraine, Russia and other countries.
- Calls to Ukraine and to Russia:
10 cents/min.
Connecting charge:
15 cents.
Costs:
7 euro, (free if you activate it together with a new wind sim card.

Than you have to pay 4 euro every 6 months.
(Promotion: free for the first 6 months)
Our choice
We think the best offer is given by WIND.
Two main reasons:
-SMS rate, half than the other providers (if not even less)
-Option “call your country”
